As humans, it is natural to seek a connection with someone who can identify with our circumstances and understand our daily experiences. Prayer is how we communicate with our Heavenly Father, who invites us to cast our cares upon Him because He cares for us and will sustain us. (Psalm 55:22) Through prayer, we can be freed from the anxieties of sickness, depression, uncertainty, doubt, and sin. As Paul reminds us in Philippians 4:6, we are to be anxious for nothing because we are to pray for everything.  Prayer goes hand-in-hand with intercession, which is how God communicates with us as we seek His will and purpose for ourselves, as well as our church, families, nation, and the world.

At Freedom Church, prayer and intercession is not what we do, but rather, it defines who we are as a church community.  As a result, we have witnessed miracles in the lives of many people.  Sicknesses have been healed, families have been restored, burdens have been lifted, and the oppressed have been freed!

Scripture guides how we pray and intercede at Freedom Church.  We invite you to reflect upon the following scriptures.

  • Call unto Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know. Jeremiah 33:3
  • Praise be to God who has not rejected my prayer or withheld His love from me! Psalm 66:20
  • Therefore, confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working.  James 5:16
  • Brothers, my heart’s desire and prayer to God for them is that they may be saved.  Romans 10:1
  • First of all, then, I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for all people, for kings and all who are in high positions, that we may lead a peaceful and quiet life, godly and dignified in every way.  1 Timothy 2:1-2

If you want to strengthen your communication with God through prayer, you will find yourself at home at Freedom Church.  We are here to serve and encourage you as you seek your own personal victories through the power of prayer.  God will not disappoint you!
